June 18th-29th marks 2008's Edinburgh International Film Festival, the longest continually running film festival in the world. It has everything from upcoming general releases like Wall E, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day and The Edge of Love to films from far across the world, that will no doubt not see the light of day in regular cinemas, like Sleep Dealer, Three Miles North of Molkolm and Milky Way Liberation Front. This is my first film festival with press accreditation and thus this allows me to see more films than I would if I was attending with the rest of the public. I will be seeing and reviewing 16 of the films showing, carefully choosen to fit my tastes and to provide the widest range of films possible. So without further ado choose a film from the list below and I hope you enjoy my coverage of the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2008!
